BIO

Edgar Stewart is a New England-based fine artist raised on a farm in rural Vermont. HIs passion for drawing began at an early age with endless fodder to inspire him. His ability to capture the true essence of a person or exacting detail of a place was stunning from early on.

Edgar went on to celebrate and hone his skills at the Rhode Island School of Design, earning a BFA in Illustration. He studied with some of the most progressive and talented artists of this generation.

After RISD, Edgar traveled through Europe studying the works of masters, enjoying cheap wine and delicious culinary delights. HIs eyes were opened wide to all of the beauty in this world.

He then went on to launch his career full of diverse creative work including illustrating numerous children’s books, designing and illustrating for countless innovative and all natural brands like Ben and Jerry’s and Nantucket Nectars, just to name a few. All the while, Edgar continued to create his own beautiful works of art in watercolor, pen and pencil, and digital drawings.

Today, Edgar splits his time between his homes in Wickford, RI and Concord, MA. He and his family continue to travel for inspiration and he is busy in his studio with exciting new projects.
